This slate memorial was made on an oval piece of slate 375mm x 275mm and 12mm thick. It was created using a number of techniques. First, the board was sandblasted away leaving the centre panel raised. This was sprayed tough two pack paint - colour Farrow and Ball Lichen.  Finally, the design was etched through the paint to show the natural slate beneath.
