Engraved Pet Memorial Plaques
We have a whole range of materials which can be used for engraved pet memorials. Click on the headings below for more information. For price comparison, we have shown cost of a 150 x 100mm ( 6″ x 4″) for each material. Other sizes are available.
Brass – Brass is the traditional material for engraved memorial plaques. It does have a disadvantage though – If you want to keep the polished brass look, it will need to be regularly polished. It is however very beautiful, and many don’t regard the polishing as a chore. (£58)
Coloured Aluminium – This is a good value, low maintenance material for memorial plaques. It is 1.5mm thick and available in several colours, although black and dark bronze is the most popular. (£44)
Acrylic Laminate – This is another good value, low maintenance material. It is made up of two layers of different colour acrylics which have been laminated together. By engraving through the topcoat, the layer underneath shows through. (£39)
Stainless Steel Plaques are very tough and virtually maintenance-free. The lettering is fixed to the plaque using a laser and is as tough as the plaque itself. (£52.95)

Engraved Pet Memorial Plaques

Brass – Brass is the traditional material for engraved memorial plaques. It does have a disadvantage though – If you want to keep the polished brass look, it will need to be regularly polished. It is however very beautiful, and many don’t regard the polishing as a chore. (£58)

For the stone effect pet memorials, we use Corian, which is an excellent material for engraved memorial plaques. It is a tough, long-lasting, rot proof, fade-proof and virtually maintenance-free. You just need to wash it occasionally, and it will look as good as new. It is an excellent alternative to slate or stone, especially when you want to use smaller wording or detailed images. The prices below are based off 12mm Corian but we do stock some 6mm Corian.

They are cast in one piece in the foundry using very traditional methods. However, we use computer technology to create the design from which the patterns are made. The casting method itself has not changed since the bronze age! They are therefore created, using a meld of modern techniques and traditional skills. They are impressive looking memorials.

Slate pet memorials in many sizes and thicknesses
Slate Pet Memorials
Slate is a beautiful stone for memorials. Each piece is different with lovely natural markings. We carry a lot of slate on-site in different thicknesses – 12mm, 20mm, 30mm and 50mm. We cut each piece to order. We then create a special rubber stencil using a computer and plotter which is how we can be so creative with the designs. The slate is then sand-blasted to carve out the lettering.

Wooden Pet Memorials
Using the skills of our carpenters and the imagination of the designers we do maker very beautiful wooden memorials. They can be simple with just a few words or have many words including a touching poem. Using an interesting font or adding an image or two can make all the difference.
The two main timber we use are Oak and Iroko. Oak because it is very beautiful and Iroko for easy maintenance. We can varnish the oak with a commercial satin varnish or oil it with Devon Oil. Iroko is simply oiled. The below prices are based on Iroko.

ToughPrint is a method where the artwork and or photo is printed onto aluminium, and the whole plaque is then totally encapsulated. They are also scratch and graffiti resistant. A 100 x 200mm plaque would cost £108. Lots of other sizes available from our Online Shop
Anoprinting is very durable indeed, and it works by fixing the colour print into the hard anodised layer of the aluminium. These plaques can be used alone or set into another material such as slate or Corian. A 100 x 150mm plaque would cost £114. More Information
