Engraved Acrylic Laminate
Acrylic laminate is an excellent material for engraved memorial plaques. It is made by using two layers of solid colour acrylic sheet which are bonded together. By engraving through the top layer you expose the colour of the layer beneath.
It is surprisingly durable and resistant to UV and abrasion and of course, is completely waterproof. It requires virtually no maintenance – just a wash occasionally and it does look very smart. It is available in lots of colours and on top of that, it is not expensive.

Cutting the acrylic to create shaped memorials
Shaped memorial plaques
Using a powerful laser it is possible to cut the acrylic laminate into simple shapes. These are often used for children’s memorial plaques, although we do sometimes do hearts for adults. The cost for cutting most shapes is £10.
