Coloured anodised aluminium for memorial plaques
Engraved Anodised Aluminium
Anodising hardens the aluminium and coats it with a protective layer which protects it against corrosion. This coating is available in a range of colours which makes it very useful for memorial plaques. We use a laser to create the wording and images on the plaque. It can be very detailed and include crests, line drawings and on the black we can include a good photo.
There is no paint fill involved as the laser is cutting through the top surface to create the design in a white-silver colour. We can also use a rotary engraver which creates more deeply engraved letters, silver in colour. The aluminium is 1.5mm thick, and we can cut it to any size you want. It is available black, dark bronze, green, blue, red and gold.

The dark bronze and black memorial plaques are a little cheaper than the coloured plaques. They look very attractive though and can be mounted onto backing boards (wood or corian), stone tablets or inserted into a plaque holder.

The contrast should be good and the background plain or out of focus. Our designers can remove backgrounds if preferred.

The Wording
The price includes 50 characters with extra letters being £4 per 50. The lettering is normally lasered which looks white. We can deep engrave it instead, which would create silver lettering.
